Canoe at Camp TecumsehAs the new academic year approaches, we are looking ahead to the fall and the 24th annual Emily Mauzy Vogel (EMV) Sophomore Leadership Development Retreat! We are striving to select a diverse delegation of students for this unique and wonderful event, and we need your help in identifying outstanding students for this opportunity. Nominate a candidate today! (login required)

Date: September 6th and 7th, 2014 at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana.

Overview: This retreat is an intensive overnight program involving team building, leadership inventories, personal development, and will introduce participants to concepts surrounding strengths-based approaches to inclusive leadership. We are also excited to announce this year that we are piloting the retreat as a kick-off to an optional year-long experience for the student participants.

Cost: Each student who participates will pay a registration of $20. Included in this nominal fee are transportation, meals, conference materials, a T-shirt, and overnight lodging. We also have offered a partial scholarship to students who need a financial aid.

This retreat is made possible by a generous gift for leadership development from the late Robert and Ruth Mauzy, Purdue alumni.

Nominated students will receive an invitation to attend the retreat and students will be accepted on a first-come basis. Please complete the nomination form today! (login required)

Thank you for your help and continued support of students and their leadership development. If you have further questions, please email Sun Kim. I look forward to receiving your nominations!
