The Summer Concert Series kicks off with an amazing musical performance by The Snyders.
The Snyders comprises of Denny Snyder – vocalist/lead guitarist (aka blues artist Southside Denny), his daughter Lorrie Snyder on Vocals/Bass (17 years old) and his son Phil Snyder on the drums (13 years of age).
Formed in the summer of 2011 in Montréal, is a family based Chicago blues and ‘roots’ band that dig deeply from many styles of music varying from Blues to Jazz, Rock, and even Manouche (Gypsy Jazz).
Lorrie and Phil’s musical influences have given their father’s blues a whole new life that is accessible and enjoyed by all ages.
Pass the Hot Sauce
Grab those extra comfortable chairs and your favorite snack and head to the Front Lawn of Purdue Memorial Union, to treat your ears to wonderful music on a cool summer evening.
The menu will feature a choice of four favorites fresh from the grill — chicken breast ($5), veggie patty ($4.50), hamburger ($4.25), and hot dog ($3.50). Sides will be fresh fruit salad ($2), potato salad ($2), chips ($1.50), and pudding cup ($1.50). Soft drinks and water in bottles will be sold for $1.50. A combo of one grill item, two sides and one bottle of a soft drink or water will be $7.50. Pappy’s ice cream will be sold separately.
